Jonathan Yuen

Jonathan Yuen is the Head of the Commercial Litigation as well as Employment Practices at Rajah & Tann Singapore.

He has over two decades of experience advising and representing clients in complex corporate disputes, negotiations and mediations. As lead counsel, he has successfully led and conducted trials in the State Courts and High Court as well as succeeding before the Court of Appeal. He has also successfully negotiated significant settlements at heavily contested and acrimonious mediations.

Jonathan specialises in disputes arising from mergers & acquisitions, joint-ventures, investments, fund-raising and deployment; and acts in matters relating to oppression of shareholder rights, shareholder disputes, breach of directors’ duties, negligence, fraud, conspiracy, misrepresentation, defamation and breach of contract.

He is also frequently appointed as lead counsel in negotiations and mediations, particularly in matters involving the Government, Statutory Boards and trade unions.

Jonathan is ranked as one of the Top 10 Listed Individuals for Employment in Singapore by Chambers Asia Pacific and recognised as a Litigation Star for Labour and Employment in Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific 2024.
