Jonathan’s first commercial litigation funding representation was in 2016. Since then, Jonathan has led more than 100 transactions and dispute resolutions in the space for four of the largest funders in the U.S. as well as other funders and fundees.

His clients include companies in a diverse range of industries, including auction services, auto, chemicals, consumer packaged goods, distribution, education, food, fulfillment, gaming, hospitality, information technology, manufacturing, metals, nonprofit, private equity, professional services, publishing, quarry mining, retail, reverse logistics, software/cloudware, solar, telecom, and textiles.
Prior to joining Much, Jonathan was a partner with several other firms, including Kirkland & Ellis, where he led high-profile Chapter 11 debtor engagements. He also served as an Adjunct Professor of Strategic Management at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and as the inaugural Clayton Center for Entrepreneurial Law Visiting Professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is a prolific author, including of two leading treatises published annually by Thomson Reuters.
Jonathan graduated magna cum laude in three years from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. in Business Administration and earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. He clerked for a federal judge after law school.
