John (Sean) Finley

Sean is US Co-Head of Funds & Asset Management and has extensive experience advising clients on sponsoring and investing in a broad range of private funds, and on various legal, compliance and operational matters related to the management of such funds.

He also advises clients on negotiating and documenting managed account arrangements, distribution arrangements, secondary transactions and various strategic transactions (including seed arrangements, spin-outs and joint ventures), and devotes a significant portion of his practice to advising clients on regulatory compliance matters (including SEC and NFA inspections) and acquisitions and sales of asset management businesses.
