Experience

John is a partner in Chapman’s National Public Finance Department. He works primarily on tax-exempt revenue bond financings for health care institutions, serving as bond counsel for issuers located throughout the United States. John also acts as borrower's counsel and underwriter's counsel. He has worked with major health care providers in Illinois and across the country. He has served as underwriter’s counsel to several large investment banks. John also leads the senior living financing practice and has served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and corporate counsel for numerous continuing care retirement communities in Illinois, California, and other states. He also has experience with debt restructuring for distressed borrowers.
