Nancy A Burke

Experience

Nancy is a partner and the Co-Practice Group Leader of Chapman's National Public Finance Department. Since she began practicing law in 1987, she has devoted substantially all of her time to the field of tax-exempt and taxable bond financings for healthcare, educational, and cultural institutions. She serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter’s counsel, and special corporate counsel. Nancy has worked on a wide range of tax-exempt and taxable financings throughout the country, and has served as bond counsel and disclosure counsel to state authorities, cities, villages, and counties. Among others, she has served as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, or special corporate counsel on bond issues for the benefit of borrowers including large multi-state health care systems, regional and community health care institutions, national and regional universities and colleges, and a wide-range of cultural institutions. In addition to her extensive client representation, Nancy is a regular speaker at industry conferences and client in-house seminars on various topics, including 501(c)(3) finance, capital campaign issues, private use issues, disclosure matters, post-issuance compliance, and ongoing debt management.
