John Bisson

John Bisson is a Partner within and leads the Property department in Jersey.

He joined Appleby in 1971, and became a partner when he qualified as a Jersey Solicitor in 1987. He is a former Chairman of the Executive Board and Group General Counsel.

John specialises in commercial and residential property development and has advised on many major and innovative commercial property developments in Jersey. He is widely acknowledged as the leading commercial property practitioner in the Island.

A private family in the reorganisation of a large residential and commercial portfolio including a number of town centre retail buildings following the death of the owner

A private family in the acquisition of town centre retail premises for redevelopment into new premises for the conduct of their high end jewellery business

Dandara in its purchase of three hotel sites from various vendors and an innovative agreement for the transfer of ownership to and the construction of hundreds of units of dwelling accommodation for Andium Homes Limited, the social housing vehicle of the Government of Jersey

The Aedifica Group of Belgium in their acquisition of a portfolio of nursing homes in Jersey and the letting of them to the international residential homes operator the Emera Group of France
