Jeff O'Boyle

Jeff O’Boyle is a Partner in the Property team in Jersey.

He joined Appleby from another Jersey firm, where he was a Partner and Head of Property, and previously spent 12 years with Pinsent Masons in the UK. He qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 2021 and as a Solicitor in England & Wales in 2005.

Jeff has advised property developers, lenders, social housing providers, institutions, funds and Governments on some of the most complex and high value transactions in Jersey.

He specialises in complex property development, acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, property finance.

Jeff is a member of the Law Society of Jersey, the Law Society of England & Wales and The Law Society of Northern Ireland (non-practising)

Advised a major developer on the legal structuring and sales of apartments in a complex phased development of several blocks

Advised a major developer and social housing provider on multiple complex developments including phased delivery and security arrangements relating to deferred consideration

Advised a Government entity on the design, documentation and implementation of a First-time buyer secured loan scheme with a value of c£12million

Advised an international energy consultant on the offshore aspects of a major Government windfarm project

Advised a major US Healthcare fund on the Jersey aspects of two simultaneous portfolio acquisitions with a combined value of over $5billion

Advised a lender on numerous secured loan facilities secured against property portfolios. Including a secured loan of over £100milion.

Advised numerous landlord and tenants on all aspects of commercial leasing, including of several prime office developments in the Finance sector.
