João Leite joined Miranda in 2006 and is a partner at the ‘Banking & Finance’ and ‘Energy and Natural Resources’ Practice Areas. João currently coordinates the Firm’s São Tomé and Príncipe Practice Group from Lisbon. João was the head of Miranda’s office in Timor-Leste between 2010 and 2013.
João’s practice focuses on international projects and contracting structures, notably on the petroleum and banking sectors. With a practice spreading Lusophone jurisdictions, notably Angola, Timor-Leste and São Tomé and Príncipe, João advises on regulatory matters and structuring of projects and contracts, as well as day-to-day corporate matters.
Before joining Miranda, João worked as an associate at Manuela António - Lawyers and Notaries, a law firm in the Macao SAR (PRC), where he gained significant experience in the banking and finance sector.
