Career

Catarina Távora joined Miranda in 1998 and became a partner in 2002. She is currently the Co-Head of Miranda’s Energy and Natural Resources Practice (oil & gas, hydrogen, ammonia, power, renewables, mineral resources exploration and mining, etc.) and the Head of the OHADA Practice (various types of projects, transactions and legal support work related to several OHADA jurisdictions in various fields (infrastructure, energy, REED+ projects, hotels, port construction and management, etc.)).

During her initial years at Miranda she did work related to Lusophone African jurisdictions (mainly Angola), including international arbitration. Yet, in 2004 she started working with Equatorial Guinea and, some years later, with other OHADA jurisdictions.

At present, she is the partner responsible for overall coordination of legal work related to Equatorial Guinea (excluding labor and litigation) and for all work related to Gabon, but she has worked in multiple transactions and projects in different OHADA jurisdictions over the years in multiple sectors.

She has almost 20 years of experience in working on Equatorial Guinea-related matters and 8 years of experience on Francophone countries, especially Gabon.
