Career

João Bonvicino co-founded Bonvicino & Barbosa Advogados Associados with Henrique Barbosa in September 2023. The law firm specializes in compliance, private and litigation investigations, investigative open-source due diligence, corporate intelligence, ESG, eDiscovery, anti-fraud, anti-corruption, anti-trust investigations, and other ethics and risk management assessments. João Bonvicino is an attorney with over seventeen years of experience conducting complex investigations. He began his career in local law enforcement, specifically in the witness protection program, intelligence, and internal affairs. After that, he spent four years managing forensic technology and eDiscovery multijurisdictional cases at a Big4 consultancy firm. He then worked for over seven years at one of the largest corporate law firms in Brazil as a senior associate and practice leader in compliance and investigations. In 2011, João Bonvicino joined the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP), which is one of the most prestigious international exchange programs of the United States Department of State. He studied the US Criminal Justice Administration during his time with the program. João is an expert in Human Rights and has an MBA in Cyber Law. He is also a lecturer and speaker.
