Jo Lilliott

Practice Areas

Jo has been practising Planning Law for more than 30 years. She is an expert in all aspects of planning and highways law but specialises in advising on, negotiating, and drafting complex S106 agreements relating to large residential and commercial developments. In 2021, Jo was recommended in the Legal 500 directory and her advice in regards to Section 106 agreements has been described as ‘unrivaled’. In recognition of Jo’s expertise, the local authorities Jo acts for regularly instruct her in preference to their own in-house legal teams and Essex Legal Services (the centralised local authority legal services department). Previously, Jo has acted for clients including Braintree District Council in respect of several large and complex Section 106 Planning Obligations.
