Jessica Pyman

Jessica Pyman is a Partner in the Intelligence and Investigations practice and Global Head of Dispute Advisory. She leads a specialist team advising on complex cross-border investigations and high-value disputes, litigation, and arbitration. An expert in asset tracing and recovery, she supports clients with judgment and award enforcement to shape effective recovery strategies.

Based in Hong Kong, she has over 20 years’ experience advising law firms, multinational corporations, investment funds and high-net-worth individuals on strategic, geopolitical, and reputational risks across transactions, market entry, and crises.

Recent engagements include:

Advising on evidence gathering and asset tracing on commercial and investor-state arbitrations, in a range of sectors including energy, technology, telecoms and resources

Managing international investigations into alleged corruption, fraud, financial crime, trade compliance, proxy and corporate governance disputes and regulatory issues

Guiding corporate clients navigating commercial and operational disruption driven by politics, regulation or stakeholder malfeasance at the geopolitical, national or local level, through intelligence gathering, political risk analysis, and contentious issues advisory

Jessica previously led the firm’s APAC intelligence team. Before joining Control Risks, she was the founding Asia Partner at a US corporate investigations boutique and Regional Director of Research at a global risk advisory firm.

She studied at the University of Cambridge and SOAS, University of London (Chinese and Politics), and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations and Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong. She speaks French and Mandarin.
