Claudine is a Geostrategic Advisory partner based in London. With over 25 years of experience, Claudine is a trusted senior advisor on geopolitics and strategic risks. She works with corporates across many different sectors to manage geopolitical risk effectively, from designing frameworks or processes to scenario forecasting and assessing risks.
Her work provides clarity and intelligence for leadership, strategy and risk teams. It strengthens the quality of decision-making and supports firms to capture opportunity and risk in a timely and effective way.
Recent engagements include:
Working with a CEO to identify the impact of a geopolitical crisis on strategy implementation over the next five years. Interviewed senior stakeholders to understand impact, concerns, priorities and actions, and provided recommendations on immediate actions required to manage the financial, operating and security implications of the crisis.
Supporting the external affairs team of an international pharmaceutical company to identify and monitor geopolitical scenarios to identify risks and opportunities arising from evolving developments, including the emergence of new powers. We also supported the team to institutionalise collaboration on scenario-monitoring across functions.
Designing a scenario-driven approach to geopolitical risk with the leadership team of a global manufacturing company, supporting leaders to embed, manage and communicate this approach effectively.
Claudine began her career at Control Risks supporting organisations affected by terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008. During those extraordinary few days, she and her colleagues were assisting those caught up in the situation on the ground. They were also helping organisations with operations across South Asia to understand how the geopolitical and security situation would evolve in the aftermath of the incident. For her, that combination of practical action and strategic insight encapsulates the two most powerful aspects of her work – supporting people in a crisis, and empowering teams to plan for the risks that may be ahead.
Claudine holds a BA in War Studies and History from King’s College London.
