Jessica Ham

Jessica is an energy and LNG / natural gas specialist based in Singapore, with extensive experience advising on major energy project development and operational matters and M&A transactions across the oil and gas / LNG sectors in the Asia-Pacific region (with a particular focus on South-East Asia), and globally. She is a Special Counsel in the Singapore office of Baker Botts and has been based in Asia for over 10 years.

She has significant energy project development experience, including advising on project structuring, joint venture arrangements, PSCs and other concession arrangements, construction and procurement of project infrastructure, FSRU charter arrangements, LNG marketing and procurement and natural gas sales and transportation arrangements. She also regularly advises on large-scale M&A transactions in the energy and LNG / natural gas sectors, including due diligence exercises and sale and purchase documentation.

She has particular LNG industry experience, having advised on the development of a number of LNG regasification projects (including FSRUs) and LNG liquefaction projects in the Asia Pacific region (many of which are ‘first of their kind’ in the relevant jurisdiction), as well as on emerging energy transition matters, including CCS/CCUS project developments.

Jessica’s LNG marketing and procurement experience includes advising on the full range of LNG transactions globally, including advising both buyers and sellers on long-term and mid to short-term/spot transactions, back to back transactions, greenfield project marketing, portfolio supply, competitive tender processes for marketing and procurement and on LNG price reviews.
