Jeryl represents clients in complex federal and state environmental enforcement and compliance matters, as well as in environmental matters associated with real estate, financing and corporate transactions, specializing in transactions involving environmentally impaired properties. Jeryl regularly defends clients in complex federal and state enforcement actions, with experience in all of the major federal and state environmental programs. Jeryl is especially experienced in defending federal and state air enforcement cases for heavy industry, including steel, metals, chemicals, cement, adhesives, coatings manufacturing, the transportation industry, the recycling industry (including scrap management, used oil recycling, container reconditioning) and has significant experience in defending federal enforcement actions respecting ammonia and other releases to the environment. Jeryl uses her considerable experience in shifting environmental risks in complex corporate and real estate transactions to develop creative solutions to dress historic and latent environmental conditions at industrial properties to be developed for alternative uses.
