She is well-versed in the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and the Stark Law, guiding clients through the regulatory complexities that shape healthcare transactions. Corporate strategies in healthcare raise unique challenges, and Jennifer brings a deep understanding of the intricacies involved when institutions explore integrated delivery models. From Stark Law and HIPAA to Medicare fraud and reimbursement compliance, she navigates the diligence and regulatory issues that healthcare clients must consider when partnering across the industry.
Jennifer also counsels healthcare providers and business associates on HIPAA and health information technology compliance, including due diligence related to transactions, the negotiation of business associate agreements and data use agreements and crisis management related to potential data breaches. Her experience extends to managed care contracting negotiation and dispute resolution, and the formation of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and Clinically Integrated Networks (CINs).
