Restructuring and Insolvency
Jean-Eric Sauzier is a partner at BLC Robert since 2006. He specialises in banking, project finance and insolvency and is also well versed with real estate development, hospitality and information technology. He advises major banks and financial institutions on all aspects of both domestic and cross-border financing transactions.
Jean-Eric also advised the administrators in one of the first administrations under the then new Insolvency Act 2009.
He has been involved in the drafting of various pieces of legislation which served either as foundation or contributed to the improvements of the Mauritian information technology, intellectual property and data protection legal and regulatory frameworks. He works closely with the banking association and assists the banking community in the handling of key sector issues and developments.
Jean-Eric has acted for both governmental bodies as well as bidders and private parties in the infrastructure and projects sphere while he also advises in the area of renewable energy and is involved in the development of various other classes of projects and assets.
