André has been practising as an attorney-at-law in Mauritius since 1994 and was elevated to the rank of Senior Attorney in 2016. André is a fifth generation attorney-at-law from the prestigious Etude Robert, founded by Mr Frédéric Robert in 1857. Etude Robert merged with BLC Chambers in 2016 to become BLC Robert & Associates.

André regularly advises commercial firms, banks, insurance companies, sugar companies, petroleum companies, textile companies, hotels and parastal bodies, and assists them in conducting and resolving litigation. He also has extensive experience in cross-border disputes and acts before all the courts of Mauritius, the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and in domestic and international arbitrations.

André was previously a lecturer in Civil Law at the Council of Vocational and Legal Education, and formed part for several years of the panel for Attorneys’, Barristers’ and Notaries’ examinations. He is a former Vice Chairman of the Mauritius Law Society.
