Jason T. Elder is a partner of Mayer Brown LLP and a Registered Foreign Consultant (New York, USA) of Mayer Brown. He has extensive corporate finance experience with a particular focus on global offerings of equity securities and investment grade, high-yield, hybrid and structured debt products. Jason also has experience with restructurings, private equity financing and cross-border mergers and acquisitions gained from transactions in the United States and Asia.

Jason is a trusted advisor to leading financial institutions and issuers globally with over 20 years’ experience, primarily in Asia-Pacific and with a focus on emerging and frontier market transactions. He also has extensive experience advising U.S.-based corporations with their Asian operations as well as Asia-based corporations with regional and global initiatives. He works from the firm’s offices in New York and Hong Kong.

Jason serves on Mayer Brown’s global Management Committee. He previously served two terms on the firm’s global Partnership Board, and led the firm’s Corporate & Securities practice from 2019 through 2021 following his service as the Corporate & Securities office practice leader for Hong Kong from 2014 to 2015 and firm practice leader from 2015 through 2019.
