Janelle Ibeling

JANELLE IBELING focuses her practice on advising investment managers and institutional investors with respect to the structure, formation, and ongoing operational needs of alternative investment products, including domestic and offshore hedge funds, private equity funds, funds of funds, and “access funds.” She has also advised with respect to leveraged products, credit facilities, and side pocket issues. Janelle has substantial experience in connection with single relationship/investor funds, managed accounts, investor negotiations, and co-investments. She provides ongoing advice to investment managers on SEC registration and compliance obligations and best practices.

Janelle advises institutional investors in connection with structuring their investments in hedge funds and private equity funds. She has also advised with respect to family office investment-related and regulatory matters, including family office formation, SEC and CFTC registration, exemptions, and related regulatory advice.

Janelle also advises asset managers on life cycle events, including formation and agreements among principals and employees, seeding capital, spin-outs of funds/teams of employees, revenue shares, and acquisitions/sales of equity.
