Work Highlights

Represented Eduardo Albor, former CEO of the Dolphin Group, in jointly administered bankruptcy proceedings pending in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware (In re: Leisure Investments Holdings, LLC, Case No. 25-10606). Under Mr. Albor's leadership, the Dolphin Group grew to encompass 30 parks and marine habitats across eight countries. The case centers on a contested corporate governance dispute implicating principles of international comity and the extraterritorial reach of the automatic stay.

Achieved a landmark result in the Subchapter V bankruptcy case of Latasha Transrina Kebe, who is liable for a nearly $4 million defamation judgment in favor of Cardi B. The firm successfully demanded, and obtained, one of the most creditor-favorable and debtor-restrictive Subchapter V reorganization plans to date, securing full acceptance of every term proposed by his client in a “consensual” plan.

Advises a group of 25 medical malpractice claimants in the jointly administered mega cases of In re Steward Healthcare System LLC. Specifically, the Firm negotiated on behalf of the medical malpractice claimants with respect to lifting the automatic stay to proceed with litigation against insurance companies and third parties.

Served as Chapter 11 counsel to IT’SUGAR LLC, a specialty candy retailer with approximately 100 stores and over 700 employees across 28 states. Through extensive negotiations with dozens of landlords, IT’SUGAR was able to obtain millions of dollars in pre and post-petition rent relief, restructure vendor debt, and successfully confirm a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization.
