Work highlights:
- Serves as trustee’s litigation counsel for the largest Ponzi in the E.D. of California. The firm secured seven and eight figure recoveries from banks, professionals, participants, and clawback targets. The firm is prosecuting a nine-figure claim against an AmLaw 100 firm.
- Represents the trustee for Palm Beach Finance, a $650 million victim of the Petters Ponzi. The firm recovered $225 million, including $49 million from GE Capital, one of the largest tort recoveries against a financial institution for its alleged joinder in a Ponzi.
- Serves as litigation oversight counsel to the trustee for Petters Company, Inc., pending in Minneapolis involving the third largest Ponzi in the U.S. The firm helped pursue over $750 million in clawbacks and served as co-counsel against JPMorgan obtaining a $30.7 million recovery.
- Serves as Chapter 7 trustee’s litigation counsel in the case of MJD Legacy Investments, pending in the Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.
- The firm represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 mega case of In re Eiger Biopharmaceuticals filed in Dallas bankruptcy court. The firm secured a 100% distribution to the unsecured creditor class.
