James H. Kallianis, Jr

James H. Kallianis, Jr. is a partner of Skarzynski Marick & Black LLP. For more than three decades, Jim has concentrated his practice in insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation. Jim has exclusively represented insurers in coverage litigation involving D&O, EPL, general liability, professional liability, fiduciary liability, and product recall/product contamination policies. He has defended individuals and corporations in securities, shareholder derivative, unfair trade practices, copyright and trade secret disputes. Jim is a member of both the Illinois and California bars and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and Ninth Circuits, as well as numerous federal district courts. Jim is a first-chair trial lawyer and has tried cases in state and federal courts around the country. He also has argued appeals before state and federal appellate courts.
