Jim Clark is a member of the Executive Committee and has been a partner at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP since 1987. Mr. Clark’s practice includes the representation of major investment banks and corporations in capital market transactions, including debt and equity offerings, bank financings and debt restructurings.
Recent transactions on which Mr. Clark has worked include:
-Advising NBCUniversal in the $7.75 billion acquisition of exclusive U.S. broadcast rights for the 2022-2032 Summer and Winter Olympic Games (which is the eighth Olympic television contract Mr. Clark has worked on for NBC).
-Representing a consortium of banks in connection with $9 billion of credit facilities to finance the acquisition of Level 3 Communications by CenturyLink.
-Representing a group of investment banks in debt-for-equity exchanges and related tender offers and equity offerings in connection with the split of R.R. Donnelley into three public companies.
-Representing the initial purchasers in an offering of senior notes to refinance outstanding debt of Comstock Resources, Inc. in connection with the acquisition of approximately 85% of Comstock’s common stock by partnerships controlled by Dallas businessman Jerry Jones and his children.
