Practice Areas

Jainil Bhandari is qualified to practice law in Singapore and Malaysia and named Senior Accredited Specialist for Maritime and Shipping Law by the Singapore Academy of Law’s Specialist Accreditation Scheme. He appears as Counsel in the Singapore and Malaysian courts and in ad hoc and institutional commercial arbitrations administered under SIAC, SCMA, LMAA, KLRCA and UNICITRAL Rules. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Jainil has more than 30 years experience in handling various shipping and trading disputes involving bills of lading, charterparties and transportation contracts, offshore construction projects, marine insurance, maritime casualties, oil pollution incidents and international commodity contracts for coal, iron ore, grains and palm oil.
