Jae Bok Lee is an attorney at Kim & Chang. He practices primarily in shipping, marine insurance and ship finance. In both contentious and transaction areas, Mr. Lee has a strong reputation both in Korea and overseas in shipping industries. Having spent two and a half years working for one of the biggest shipping companies in Korea and the P&I Club as a claim manager in London, Mr. Lee has obtained practical experiences in dealing with various charterparty disputes including bills of lading, cargo claims, collisions and general marine insurance matters. Mr. Lee’s specialty extends to various ship-involved incident investigations, including attending interviews at various collisions/salvages. He has been recently extending his career to offshore wind power projects, in particular renewable energy and decarbonization/environment issues in shipping. Mr. Lee is also helping Korean and international shipowners for their compliance issues in Korea.
