Chair of the Construction practice group. He is a creative and collaborative advocate for clients in construction, real estate, and commercial matters, having litigated, arbitrated, and mediated disputes for local and national clients. He has obtained more than a dozen successful jury verdicts and arbitration awards for clients, but he understands that parties prefer to avoid disputes when possible, so he works with clients to manage and transfer risk through contract negotiation on the front end of projects. He also serves as a mediator. Based on his vast experience, he is regularly asked to testify on construction law matters at the Minnesota State Legislature.
Represents corporations and individuals in complex commercial matters, including multidistrict litigation, such as In re NHL Players’ Concussion Injury Litigation, where he played a central role in nationwide class-action litigation.
