Life Sciences: Regulatory (Spain)

Isabel is partner of the firm since 2014 and has developed the Life-Sciences practice department, through which the AVQ team offers a comprehensive legal service to health-sector companies, covering all legal areas related to the business of medicines, medical devices, food supplements and cosmetic products.

Languages: Spanish and English

Before joining AVQ Legal, she headed up the Insud Pharma Group’s Legal Department (multinational group that develops, manufactures, licences and markets medicines, biosimilars and medical devices, present in over 40 countries) from 1993 to 2014. In this role, she served as Member and Secretary of the Board, and was responsible for the corporate and M&A department, in which the company undertook a significant international expansion during her time as head of the Legal Department. In addition, she has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating commercial, product-development and technology-transfer agreements, as well as litigating coordination, particularly in patent matters.
