Ilan Ishai is an experienced litigator, who specializes in class action defence, complex consumer protection, competition and product liability litigation. He acts for clients across a broad array of industries, including automotive, pharmaceutical, insurance, and consumer products. Ilan has appeared as lead counsel before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as the Supreme Court of Canada. He provides strategic advice to companies and individuals at all stages of complex litigation.

Admitted to the bar of Ontario (2011), New York (2013), and British Columbia (2023).
Personal
Ilan is a member of the Advocates' Society, the New York State Bar Association and the International Association of Defence Counsel (an invitation-only, peer-reviewed association). Ilan also sits on Practical Law Canada's Corporate & Commercial Litigation Advisory Board.
