International Arbitration

Ian heads TSMP’s Employment & Labour team, and is a partner in its Dispute Resolution practice, practicing both international arbitration and corporate & commercial litigation. His practice has a specific emphasis on contentious and transactional employment law, particularly on issues of non-competition, wrongful dismissal, harassment, retirement and re-employment, industrial relations and data privacy and confidentiality.

Ian is the lead author for the Singapore chapters of international publications The Employment Law Review and Getting the Deal Through – Labour & Employment, as well as the Employment Contracts chapter of Law Relating to Specific Contracts in Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and was an appointed Magistrate for the Small Claims Tribunals of the Singapore State Courts and the Chair of the Law Society Civil Practice Committee.
