Dr. Hussam Sameer Al Talhuni is a seasoned legal expert with over 30 years of experience in commercial law. As a Partner at MAS Law, he offers high-level legal consultation in areas including arbitration, bankruptcy, asset-based financing, tax law, and family business trusts. Renowned for his strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, he has led both public and private clients through complex legal issues, particularly in insolvency and restructuring.

Dr. Hussam holds a Ph.D. in Arbitration in International Commercial Law and the Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards from the University of Edinburgh. He is especially known for his expertise in arbitration and dispute resolution, with a strong record in enforcing arbitral awards.

Previously, as Director of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre, he oversaw over 250 arbitration cases annually. He also served as Legal Adviser to the Ministry of Finance and Secretary of the UAE’s Financial Reorganization Committee, playing a vital role in major restructuring efforts, including the turnaround of companies like KBBO and Drake & Scull.

Dr. Hussam is also a leading authority on Family Business Trusts and has contributed to the development of the UAE’s Trust Law. He is an active writer and speaker in the international legal community.
