Helena has over 25 years’ experience in complex high value contentious trust disputes. Helena is recognised as a leading industry figure and is regularly called upon by clients and peers for opinions on some of the most complex contentious issues, both on and offshore.

Helena acts for HNW individuals, entrepreneurs and families helping them to resolve and sensitively deal with the whole range of disputes that can affect them, from ‘the cradle to the grave’. Such disputes can relate to issues involving the businesses they run, the trusts they have set up, issues between family members/beneficiaries and disputes that arise on death and on divorce. Helena also advises trustees and financial institutions in relation to these same issues and the professional advisers who provide services in relation to these matters, and she has a particular expertise in both bringing and defending claims for professional negligence against these professionals.

Helena has acted on a number of high profile reported cases and has successfully challenged orthodox thinking on important issues such as the law of limitation and construction of trust documents. She is also experienced in advising HNW clients in relation to recovering misappropriated trust assets in multiple jurisdictions and in dealing with complex probate disputes.
