Appointed silk in 2000, Helen Symon KC is a leading tax specialist across the full range of tax law in both complex disputes and corporate and personal advisory contexts. In addition to tax, Helen’s practice encompasses commercial and public law.

Her unique input in tax advisory matters stems from her extensive experience in Court. Over more than 35 years, Helen has appeared in Courts and tribunals at all levels, representing both taxpayers and revenue authorities alike. Her wide experience enables Helen to provide objective and informed advice to her clients.

Helen’s insight as a commercial litigator stems from her experience in tax cases which have concerned some of Australia’s largest transactions and projects as well as most complex corporate structures.

Helen’s broader public law practice has developed as a result of her experience in taxation law.
