Guy Mills qualified as a solicitor in 1991. He and his father Geoffrey established Mills & Co in 1993 and the firm has now grown to become one of the leading specialist shipping law firms in the UK.

Guy's particular focus these days is on multi-jurisdictional casualty matters. He has extensive experience of large containership dangerous cargo cases, tonnage limitation, General Average recoveries and complex charterparty disputes.

Acted for MSC in various jurisdictions in relation to the “MSC FLAMINIA” casualty including in the limitation proceedings before the Supreme Court in 2025 which clarified the law on limitation of liability for charterers.
