Career

He chairs the Environmental Law Practice and co-chairs the Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Practices at Brons & Salas. He joined Brons & Salas in 1990 and is a partner since 1997. He is also member of the Executive Committee of the Firm.

Guillermo received his LL.B. from the School of Law of the Universidad de Buenos Aires, with honors, in 1989. He also took courses in International Environmental Law at the Southwestern University School of Law, Summer Law Program (Argentina, 1993), and attended the Academy of American and International Law, The Center for American and International Law (formerly, The Southwestern Legal Foundation) of the University of Texas, Dallas, in 1994. He was also member of the Allen & Overy alumni network in 1998-1999.

Professional Memberships

He is a Board Member of the United States Chamber of Commerce in Argentina and Vice President of its Environmental Law Committee.

He is a member of the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the San Isidro Bar Association.

Guillermo is Vice-Chair of the International Environmental Law Committee of the American Bar Association, Section of International Law, and former Co-Chair of the Latin America & Caribbean Committee (2006-2009); her was also former Country Chair (Argentina) of the New York State Bar Association.

Guillermo is co-author of the chapters on Argentina of the following books:

- “International Environmental Law – The Practitioner’s Guide to the Laws of the Planet”, Chapter 21, Argentina (2014), published by the American Bar Association, Section of Environment, Energy and Natural Resources.

- “Environment in 25 jurisdictions worldwide”, published by Getting the Deal Through (2007).

- “Product Liability - Argentina”, published by Global Legal Group (2003).

- “New Developments in Argentine Environmental Legislation. A Step Forward in Protecting the Environment”, “International Environmental Laws and Regulations in Argentina” (1998) published by the Center for International Legal Studies, Salzburg, Austria.

- “Bankruptcy and Insolvency - The Rights and Remedies of Foreign Creditors”, published in the Comparative Law - Yearbook of International Business -Volume 15 - by the Center for International Legal Studies, 1990.

He published several articles on commercial and environmental issues in the major law magazines in Argentina.
