Gerard is a recognised leader in cases of catastrophic injury, clinical negligence and cross-border claims of all kinds. He is consistently ranked highly in the two major legal directories, including recognition as a Star Individual for many years in Chambers & Partners. He is also a Vice-President of the Spinal Injuries Association.

He has a particular expertise in cross-border claims and is admitted as an Attorney at the New York Bar (non-practising). He has been involved in the affairs of the American Bar Association for more than 35 years and has outstanding connections with Attorneys across the US.
