Career

George has been involved in energy regulation for over 30 years, including previously serving as in-house attorney at Niagara Mohawk; at law firms in Washington DC and St. Louis, MO; and as a trial attorney in the Energy Section of the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice. He concentrates on all aspects of state and federal energy regulatory practice, representing clients before the NYS Public Service Commission, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and in the governance process of the NY Independent System Operator and New England ISO. He also advises clients regarding utility contracts, energy company restructurings, and interconnection agreements with NYISO and/or utilities. Between 2018 and 2020, George served as the chair of the NYS Bar Association’s Public Utility Committee.
