Gaurav Chatterjee is a Partner in the Chennai office of the Firm. His areas of expertise include Corporate commercial advisory, Real Estate, Litigation and Arbitration.

During his 15 years career as a seasoned litigator, Gaurav has represented numerous domestic companies, financial institutions including foreign and Indian banks, NBFCs and insurance companies, IT& ITES, Real estate and infrastructure developers, diverse manufacturing companies before the Madras High Court, City Court, Criminal Courts, Debts Recovery Tribunal (DRT)and the NCLT. Gaurav has also represented clients in the services and media sectors.

Gaurav is also a member of the Firm’s pan-Indian White Collar Crime practice group and has been involved in representing multinational clients on matters concerning corporate frauds, money laundering, criminal breach of trust etc.

As part of the corporate advisory practice, Gaurav has represented both target companies and investors on strategic or Private Equity investments across industry verticals. He has advised such clients on structuring and negotiation of both inbound and outbound investments as well as legal due diligence. Gaurav routinely advises clients and project developers on Real Estate laws including foreign investment in real estate and related issues, due diligence, advisory on construction and ancillary agreements, lease/leave and license agreements etc.
