Notable cases include: Offside v Kidman Asset Management Ltd (a €20M claim arising out of a fraudulent ponzi investment scheme, targeting members of the Italian football community), Courtwood Holdings v Woodley Properties Limited (£30M civil fraud claim), BP Oil International v Bankers Petroleum Albania Limited ($54M breach of an oil supply contract claim); a $440M UNCITRAL investor/state arbitration in the oil industry; Tullow Oil Limited v Heritage Oil & Gas Limited ($303M indemnity claim); Bank of Scotland v Pereira & Pain (the leading authority on setting aside judgment/appealing when a party fails to turn up to trial).
