Head of the IP Division of the firm, she handles and provides expert counseling for the trademark portfolio of local and multinational companies in a wide range of sectors which include, among others, beauty and personal care, pharmaceutical, automobile, retail, luxury goods, food and beverages, finance and entertainment.
Counseling includes trademark and copyright licensing, franchising, trademark enforcement, trademark and patent prosecution, opposition and cancellation proceedings.
A member of the Board of the Panamanian Intellectual Property Association since 2001, she served as the President of the association for the period 2020-2022. She has actively participated with the authorities in the revision of intellectual property laws and regulations, including the Industrial Property Laws No. 35 of 1996 and No. 61 of 2012, and Executive Decree No. 85 of 2017.
