Felipe Meneses

Expert in environmental, indigenous and regulatory law with 20 years of experience. His practice focuses on project development, Environmental Impact Assessment System, territorial planning, counseling on community matters and administrative and judicial disputes related to investment projects.

Recognised in prestigious international legal rankings. He lectures in postgraduate diplomas on environmental law and sustainability at various universities, and is a member of the Chilean Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He formerly served as Secretary of the Inter-American Network of Environmental Law Specialists (RIELA) and as President of the Sustainability Commission of the Chilean-Australian Chamber of Commerce (AUSCHAM).

Before joining LAWGIC Abogados, he was Director of Carey's Environmental Group (2011–2019); legal advisor for SGA S.A. (2008–2011); attorney at Fundación Pumalín (2005–2008); and Head of Administration of State Assets at the Ministry of National Assets (2000–2005).

He led legal teams at law firms and public entities, advising on the planning, approval and defence of projects in sectors such as mining, energy and infrastructure. He was Director of the Environmental Group at Carey (2011–2019), legal advisor at consultancy SGA (2008–2011), legal advisor at Fundación Pumalín (2005–2008), and Head Lawyer of the State Assets Department at the Ministry of National Assets (2001–2005).
