Felipe Bastos

Felipe Bastos leads the Insurance and Reinsurance as well as Arbitration practices at FAS Advogados.

With over 20 years of experience advising both domestic and foreign companies, Felipe possesses extensive expertise in general commercial contracts. He is widely recognized and highly regarded in the market, having received acclaim from all major national and international professional directories for his consultative, contentious, and transactional work in the Insurance and Reinsurance markets.

Felipe holds deep expertise in complex strategic litigation, commercial arbitrations, corporate disputes, and construction matters, as well as in mediations and negotiations, both within Brazil and internationally.

Additionally, Felipe has accumulated extensive knowledge in contracts related to the Oil and Natural Gas industry and Construction.

Holds a Law degree from the Rio de Janeiro State University – UERJ (2002), and an LL.M. (summa cum laude) from the University of Virginia School of Law – UVA Law (2010). Also earned an MBA in Business Administration and Legal Transactions from Fundação Getulio Vargas – FGV (2012), and an MBA in Insurance Law from the National School of Insurance (2013).
