Fang Xue is an M&A and Private Equity partner and the managing partner of Gibson Dunn’s Beijing office. She has broad-based experience representing Chinese and international corporations and PE funds in cross-border acquisitions, going private transactions, joint ventures, co-investment transactions, PIPE transactions, tender offers and venture capital transactions, including many landmark deals among those. She also advises clients on regulatory compliance matters.
Career
Fang is recognized as a “Notable Practitioner” in Euromoney’s IFLR1000 financial & corporate legal rankings and listed as a leading lawyer in Chambers Asia-Pacific for China-based Corporate M&A work. She has also been included in the 2020 edition of The A-List by China Business Law Journal and the first edition of The Best Lawyers in China for her work in “Private Equity and Venture Capital Law (International Firms)” based on peer selection in 2020.
Personal
Fang received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Duke University School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and also served as Research Editor of the Law and Contemporary Problems Journal. She was also the recipient of 2003 Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Business Organization and Finance.
