Ever Olivares

Ever Olivares has more than ten years' experience advising insurers and intermediaries in the Costa Rican insurance market on regulatory, contractual and out-of-court dispute resolution matters.

In the regulatory field, he has taken part in the acquisition of insurance companies, the incorporation of intermediaries and the transformation of agencies into insurance brokers companies, providing strategic support in complying with the applicable regulatory requirements. His experience also includes liaising with supervisory authorities and handling enquiries relating to the regulatory framework of the insurance sector.

In contractual matters, he has been involved in structuring and reviewing documentation associated with insurance and reinsurance contracts and agreements relating to ancillary insurance services.

He has also represented insurance entities and intermediaries in handling and resolving disputes arising from insurance activity, bringing a comprehensive perspective that combines regulatory knowledge with practical experience in managing complaints and claims in the insurance market.

He complements his experience by acting as the insurance costumer protection body (Ombudsman) for a Life and Healthcare insurance company, a role in which he analyses and handles complaints and claims submitted by consumers, promoting efficient solutions and the strengthening of good service practices.
