Andrea Moreno advises entities in the Costa Rican insurance market on regulatory, contractual and judicial matters relating to the insurance and reinsurance industry. Within the insurance team, she leads insurance and civil liability litigation. She regularly represents insurance companies in judicial disputes concerning coverage, the scope of benefits and claims arising from insurance contracts, as well as insurers' clients in civil liability claims. She also takes part in handling complex claims involving technical, contractual and regulatory aspects specific to the insurance activity, both during loss adjustment and valuation stages and in judicial proceedings and other dispute resolution mechanisms.
Her experience also includes structuring insurance contracts, reviewing reinsurance contracts and providing regulatory support to various participants in the insurance market, bringing a practical perspective derived from handling claims and coverage disputes.
