Practice Areas
Partner and Head of Education Law at Russell-Cooke, Eva’s core work includes: special educational needs; Equality Act claims; admission and exclusion appeals; and complaints.
Eva champions the rights of disabled children securing provision and placements that enable them to thrive, and robustly challenging disability discrimination by maintained and independent schools. She secures Education Health and Care Plans that name leading specialist and ordinary independent schools as placement. Eva adopts a robust and solution-focused approach to challenging breach of statutory duty by local authorities, by way of judicial review and complaint to Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman securing financial recompense. She draws on cross-departmental specialism to bring breach of contract and educational negligence claims.

Eva has over 20 years' post qualification experience.

Personal
Eva was educated in inner London state schools and PRUs as well as long periods out of education. She read law at The University of Westminster, graduating with First Class Honours, and completed her legal studies at the College of Law London.
Eva is committed to raising awareness and access to justice for minoritised communities and she voluntarily delivers webinars, workshops and training to a number of community based support groups.
