Eugenio Merino is the founding partner of Merino y Cía. law firm. He concentrated his professional practice at all areas of criminal law are, especially in highly complex economic crimes, as well as preventive advice to companies on matters of criminal liability of legal entities. He has worked in notorious criminal cases, including economic crimes, environmental crimes, criminal liability of legal persons, sexual crimes, and liability for negligence.
Career
He started his career as associate at Puga, Ortiz Abogados, and then at Ortiz y Cía as partner. Currently is Judge of the Ethics Tribunal of the Chilean Bar Association, and was professor and academic coordinator of the Update Course in Economic Criminal Law: Law No. 21,595, taught by the Diego Portales University.
