Erin is a member of the firm’s Trusts & Private Client, Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Labour & Employment practice groups.

She is a full member of STEP with Trust Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation and was recently appointed as Director for STEP Bahamas (2022-23).

A vibrant, young lawyer well versed in trusts/private client case law and statutes in The Bahamas, she is forging her way as a rising star at McKinney, Bancroft & Hughes in trust/private client litigation.

Erin has also advised high-net-worth individuals and families on the formation and variation of trust structures and is swift with finding innovative solutions to solve their issues.

Career

Erin is a senior associate at McKinney, Bancroft & Hughes. After attending City University London, where she completed her Bachelors of Laws degree with First Class Honours in 2014 Erin enrolled in the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) and completed the program in 2015 with a grade of Outstanding. She became an ADRgroup Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator the same year, after the successful completion of a course in alternative dispute resolution.

Erin was called to The English and Bahamas Bars in 2015 when she also joined McKinney, Bancroft and Hughes. In 2016, she received a Masters of Law in Professional Legal Skills with Commendation.

Personal

An avid runner, Erin has completed half marathons and 10K races in Miami, Nassau, London and Paris. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family, and has a passion for cooking and baking.
