Epke Spijkerman, partner and lawyer at BUREN, primarily advises national and international companies on all aspects of employment law relevant to them. He specialises in the employment law aspects of (international) mergers and acquisitions, business transfers, and restructurings. In addition, he possesses extensive knowledge of and experience with both collective and individual dismissal procedures, the dismissal of statutory directors, employment contract law, employment litigation, employee participation, and consultancy agreements.

Career

Epke graduated in Dutch law from Leiden University. He also successfully completed the specialist postgraduate course in Employment Law (Post-Academic Programme in Employment Law) at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Previously, Epke was a partner at Boekel and at Dentons, one of the largest international law firms.

Epke is a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA), the Amsterdam Employment Lawyers Association, the Dutch Employment Lawyers Association, the Dutch Labour Law Association, the Association for Sports and Law, and the People Committee of AmCham.
