Career
Emma is an Equity Partner and Head of Employment. She has extensive experience in acting for both individuals and commercial clients; and is widely known for her ‘responsive, pragmatic and commercial’ advice.
She works closely with her clients to establish their true goals, assess risk, and provide strategic advice and bespoke solutions.
Her problem-solving approach to employment-related issues, provides her clients with unwavering confidence.
Reputationally, Emma is known for supporting and enabling her commercial clients, to avoid the costly, and often unnecessary, Tribunal disputes, and she has continued to see a significant rise in the number of commercial clients, placing instructions with her; many of whom have presented through personal recommendations and established referrer relationships.
New instructions include senior executives and high-net worth clients, secured through her London referral network.
Clients praise Emma for her work, describing it as ‘superb’, ‘amazing’ and ‘well-crafted’, acknowledging that they have someone with ‘real clout’ to fight their corner and protect their back.
The education sector has developed into a key specialism for Emma. She advises both public and independent schools, and nurseries. She has been a representative for one of the largest Multi Academy Trusts (MATs), South of London since 2011.
Her well-established team of five fee earners, have also secured recommendations from Chambers, on their work for individuals, employment tribunal work, large-scale litigation matters, across a range of issues: including sexual harassment and whistle-blowing claims.
